Nikon's New Digital Learning Center
In addition to recently announcing two new, outstanding DSLR's (the Nikon D3 and Nikon D300 digital SLR's) and 8 new members of its Coolpix family, Nikon has also launched a new program on Flickr: The Nikon Digital Learning Center.
The program complements its own educational section and complementary photography newsletter on the Nikon USA web site, and provides members of Flickr with digital photography tutorials, photography tips from Nikon photo pros such as Rosanne Pennella, Cliff Mautner, and Nikon School instructors Reed Hoffman and Bill Durrence. It includes information about photo composition, understanding the relationship between shutter speed and aperture, to advice on taking specific kinds of photos (e.g. sports/action, macro shots, travel, landscapes, and personal portraits).
Nikon has always been dedicated to helping people take better pictures (as well as manufacturing some of the best digital cameras in the world), and their new program on Flickr just shows that -- to do so -- Nikon is willing to go where the photographers are.
