14 Reasons to Order the Canon Rebel XSi Now

You can pre-order the Canon Rebel XSi now!

Black Canon Rebel XSi DSLRThe Canon Rebel XSi was officially announced yesterday, and already the interest in this camera is exploding. And although the newly-announced Canon Rebel XSi/Canon EOS 450D isn't expected to ship until April 2008, you may want to order it now. In fact, we have a list of reason to do so...

1. You want to be the first on your block with a state-of-the-art, 2008 DSLR with all of these cool, new features.

2. You want a digital SLR so quick and easy to use that it's considered entry-level, but with so many advanced features that it rivals DSLR's that cost more than twice as much.

3. The 12.2 Megapixel CMOS image sensor in the Canon Rebel XSi will allow you to create poster-sized prints.
4. The 3.0-inch LCD screen has a 170-degree viewing angle, and is 30% brighter than the Canon Rebel XTi. Plus, it incorporates Live View technology that lets you view your subject in the LCD screen before the shot is taken... including the capability to zoom in at 5X or 10X for precise focusing.
5. You want the choice of black or silver.
6. You want a digital SLR much better than the Rebel XTi, but which costs much less than the XTi did when it was released.

7. You want the ability to capture up to 53 full-resolution JPEG images at 3.5 frames per second.

SD Memory Cards8. You want to store your images on SD and high-capacity SDHC memory cards.

9. You want to spend your tax rebate check on something cool.

10. You like the convenience of the 9-point AutoFocus system, but you also want the flexibility to override it in different shooting modes.

11. You want to capture RAW images with 14-bit gradation that will produce images containing unbelievably rich colors.

12. You want a rechargeable battery that will take at least 500 shots between charges.

13. You want an integrated cleaning system that will keep your images dirt- and dust-free.
14. You like to pick up girls by pretending you're a professional photographer but your Instamatic camera just isn't that convincing any more.
